Senators 4, Sabres 1

Erik Condra scored a pair of goals and Craig Anderson made 22 saves to lead the Ottawa Senators to a 4-1 victory over the visiting Buffalo Sabres on Tuesday.

Erik Karlsson and Zack Smith each added a goal for the Senators, who have totaled 10 tallies in back-to-back wins.

Ottawa took a 2-1 on a highlight goal at the 7:59 mark of the third period. Condra stole the puck in Buffalo’s zone and flipped it back to Kyle Turris, who fired a wrister at Ryan Miller.

Miller made the initial save but Turris got his own rebound and sent it across the crease to Condra, who buried it into the open net.

Ottawa took the suspense out of it on Karlsson’s power-play tally with 2:11 remaining and Condra’s empty-net goal 25 seconds later provided the final margin.

The Sabres had tied it on Jordan Leopold’s power-play wrister from the left faceoff circle with 6:48 left in the second.

Buffalo dropped an 8-3 decision at Pittsburgh on Saturday and has allowed a total of 16 goals in its last three games.
