Blackhawks 5, Wild 2

David Bolland collected two goals and an assist and rookie Jimmy Hayes scored and set up a goal as the Chicago Blackhawks downed the visiting Minnesota Wild 5-2 on Thursday.

Bolland scored his second of the night and fourth in his last three games into an empty net. The Blackhawks took control of the game with three goals in the second period - including two just 23 seconds apart.

Hayes notched his third of the season at 8:53 on the power play when he snapped a shot over Josh Harding’s glove. Viktor Stalberg’s 13th goal came seconds later when All-Star Jonathan Toews fed him a breakaway pass.

Bolland gave Chicago a 4-1 lead on the power play after backhanded in a rebound off a point shot. It ended Harding’s night as he gave way to Matt Hackett after giving up four goals on 21 shots.

Minnesota’s Kyle Brodziak scored his 12th of the season in the third period.

Andrew Shaw started the offensive burst for the Blackhawks at 11:33 of the first period with his second goal of the season.

Devin Setoguchi netted his ninth of the season for Minnesota at 6:28 when he knocked in a rebound off Marek Zidlicky's point shot.
