Flames 1, Ducks 0 (OT)

Blair Jones scored 1:51 into overtime and Miikka Kiprusoff turned aside 23 shots as the Calgary Flames continued their home dominance with a 1-0 triumph over the Anaheim Ducks on Thursday.

Prior to the game, the Flames re-acquired Michael Cammalleri from the Montreal Canadiens. They also picked up goaltender Karri Ramo and a fifth-round selection in the 2012 draft for Rene Bourque, Patrick Holland and a second-round pick in the 2013 draft.

After the teams combined for just 17 shots through the first two periods and 37 through regulation, Jones gave the Flames their first eight-game winning streak in nearly five years (Jan. 4-Feb. 3, 2007) by scoring quickly in overtime.

Playing in his third contest since being acquired from the Tampa Bay Lightning, Jones followed up his initial shot from the left faceoff circle which was stopped by Jonas Hiller and backhanded the puck into the net.

Kiprusoff, who secured his third shutout of the season and 43rd career, improved to 10-2-1 in 13 career home starts versus the Ducks.

Hiller returned after sitting out Tuesday's contest with a lower-body injury. He finished with 18 saves.
