Maple Leafs 4, Wild 1

Joffrey Lupul had three assists to help the Toronto Maple Leafs hand the Minnesota Wild their 11th straight road loss with a 4-1 victory on Thursday night.

Nazem Kadri, Joey Crabb, Phil Kessel and Mikhail Grabovski scored for the Maple Leafs and Jonas Gustavsson came within 2:27 of his third shutout in six games.

Gustavsson made 20 saves for his 14th win in helping snap a three-game losing streak for Toronto.

Nick Johnson had the lone goal for the Wild, who have scored just 11 goals during their 11-game slide on the road.

Toronto jumped out to a quick lead and never looked back. Kadri corralled a loose puck at the side of the net and fired it past Niklas Backstrom for his fourth goal just 50 seconds into the game.

Just over four minutes later, Crabb doubled the lead when he cut hard in front of the net and slipped in his eighth marker of the season.

Kessel notched his 25th goal on the power play to increase the lead to 3-0 at 15:48 of the second period.

Grabovski netted his 15th goal in the opening minute of the final period to make it 4-0.
