Blues 4, Devils 3 (SO)

T.J. Oshie scored in the first round of the shootout and All-Star Brian Elliott denied all three attempts as the St. Louis Blues maintained their mastery of Eastern Conference teams with a 4-3 road triumph over the New Jersey Devils on Thursday.

Elliott relieved an ineffective Jaroslav Halak to stop 15 shots in regulation and overtime.

David Perron netted his third goal in two games and Patrik Berglund and Chris Stewart also tallied for St. Louis, which improved to 11-0-2 against Eastern Conference foes this season.

In the extra session, Johan Hedberg was able to get a piece of Oshie's attempt but it trickled between his pads over the line. Ilya Kovalchuk and Patrik Elias were denied with their bids before captain Zach Parise lost control of the puck in the shootout.

Elias and Parise scored to extend their respective point streaks to seven contests and rookie Adam Henrique also tallied for New Jersey, which saw its five-game winning streak come to an end.

Berglund leveled the contest at 3-3 with 5:50 left in the third period after he deflected a shot past Hedberg. The play was immediately reviewed - and upheld.
