LIGHTNING 3, DUCKS 2: Steven Stamkos scored two first-period goals to increase his league-leading total to 42 as Tampa Bay ended visiting Anaheim's nine-game point streak.
Stamkos added an assist on Teddy Purcell’s second-period goal. Purcell, who also had two assists, has 11 points in his last eight games.
Mathieu Garon came up with 28 saves, 11 in the third period for the Lightning.
The Lightning, who in the last six days have traded two regular forwards, a top-four defenseman and lost captain Vincent Lecavalier with a non-displaced fracture in his right hand, have won three straight.
The Ducks, who came in 6-0-3 in their last nine, fell behind 28 seconds in as Stamkos knocked home a rebound on the power play from close range.
Stamkos scored his second at 17:58 after Brett Clark’s shot from the left point hit the back wall and caromed to him to the right of the net.
Bobby Ryan deflected Saku Koivu's pass through his legs and past Garon to bring the Ducks within 3-2 with 1:22 left in the second. Ryan and Koivu each had a goal and an assist.
