FLYERS 5, FLAMES 4 (SO): Rookie Matt Read scored in the fifth round of the shootout and Ilya Bryzgalov stopped four of five attempts as visiting Philadelphia rallied from a three-goal deficit to upend Calgary.
Jakub Voracek scored and defensemen Braydon Coburn, Nicklas Grossman and Kimmo Timonen also tallied for the Flyers, who pulled back into a tie with Pittsburgh for fourth place in the Eastern Conference.
Alex Tanguay converted a penalty shot and defenseman Mark Giordano, Matt Stajan and Tom Kostopoulos also tallied for the Flames, who secured a point in 10 of their last 11 games (5-1-5) to move to within one of eighth place in the Western Conference.
