Stars 3, Oilers 1

STARS 3, OILERS 1: Michael Ryder scored two goals and set up another while Mike Ribeiro added a tally and two assists as Dallas took over the Pacific Division lead and completed a sweep of its four-game season series with Edmonton.

Loui Eriksson notched two assists and Kari Lehtonen made 31 saves for the Stars, who have won 13 of 18 overall and seven of nine on the road. The win moved Dallas one point ahead of San Jose in the Pacific after the Sharks fell 2-1 to Anaheim.

Ryder opened the scoring with a brilliant individual effort less than 12 minutes into the first period. After receiving a pass in the neutral zone, Ryder skated down the middle, deked his way past Edmonton defenseman Jeff Petry in the slot and put a backhander past Devan Dubnyk for his fourth goal in five games.

Ribeiro converted a return pass from Eriksson during a 2-on-1 rush just over five minutes into the second. Ryder made it 3-0 at 4:11 of the third when he tapped in a pass from the left circle by Ribeiro, completing his fifth two-goal performance of the season.

Hemsky spoiled Lehtonen's shutout bid just over four minutes later with his 10th tally of the campaign and fifth in six contests.

Dubnyk stopped 22 shots for the Oilers, who lost in regulation for the first time in eight games (5-1-2).
