Tyler Seguin and Patrice Bergeron scored in the shootout and Winnipeg's Bryan Little hit the post in the third round as Boston recorded its 11th consecutive home victory over the Jets' franchise.
Brad Marchand netted his first goal and Tuukka Rask turned aside 26 shots for the Bruins, who improved to 15-3-1 in their last 19 against the Jets/Atlanta Thrashers.
Chris Thorburn scored and defenseman Paul Postma registered his first career point with an assist. Ondrej Pavelec finished with 26 saves for the Jets, who have mustered one goal in each game this season.
After Boston killed off a pair of penalties in overtime, Seguin opened the shootout by wristing a shot just inside the post. After former Bruin Blake Wheeler answered with a backhand, Bergeron wristed a forehand between the pads of Pavelec. Rask denied fellow Finn Olli Jokinen with his pad before Little's bid hit the iron.
Thornburn opened the scoring 1:58 into the first period after wristing a rebound from the right faceoff circle between the pads of Rask. Marchand answered with 5:48 remaining in the session after accepting a centering feed at the top of the goal crease from Seguin and depositing it past Pavelec.
