Blackhawks 3, Bruins 2

Bryan Bickell and Dave Bolland scored 17 seconds apart late in the third period as visiting Chicago stunned Boston to seize its second Stanley Cup title in four seasons and fifth in franchise history.

With the Bruins protecting a 2-1 lead, Bickell reeled in defenseman Duncan Keith's centering feed and tapped the puck past Tuukka Rask (28 saves) to tie the game with 1:16 remaining in the third. Boston still was attempting to recover when Chicago blue-liner Johnny Oduya's point shot hit the left post. Bolland gained inside position on Bruins defenseman Johnny Boychuk and knocked the puck into the net to silence TD Garden.

Captain Jonathan Toews collected a goal and an assist in his return from an upper-body injury and Patrick Kane was named the Conn Smythe Trophy winner. Corey Crawford finished with 23 saves for the Presidents' Trophy-winning Blackhawks, who also needed six games to dispatch Philadelphia in 2010.

With the contest tied at 1-1, David Krejci forced a turnover by Keith and settled the puck behind the net. Krejci alertly fed Milan Lucic, who shoveled a shot that caromed off Crawford's blocker before hitting the post, trickling down his back and bouncing into the net.

Chris Kelly opened the scoring at 7:19 of the first period by capping a brilliant tic-tac-toe play. Daniel Paille wristed a shot from the point that was caught by Tyler Seguin, who deftly backhanded the puck to an awaiting Kelly in the lower right faceoff circle for the goal.

Toews answered 4:24 into the second after eluding Boston's Zdeno Chara, who came up empty in his attempt to play the body along the right-wing boards at center ice. Toews skated in and wristed a shot past Rask for his second goal in three games and third of the postseason.
