Matt Halischuk snapped a tie 4:27 into the third and captain Andrew Ladd added insurance later in the period as host Winnipeg snapped its three-game losing streak.
Ladd, Bryan Little and Michael Frolik each finished with a goal and an assist for the Jets, who posted their first regulation victory since Oct. 13. Devin Setoguchi and Mark Scheifele notched two assists apiece while Al Montoya made 26 saves.
Defenseman Danny DeKeyser scored a short-handed goal and captain Henrik Zetterberg also tallied for Detroit, which completed a 3-1-0 road trip. Jimmy Howard turned aside 43 shots.
Halischuk gave Winnipeg a 3-2 edge with his first goal of the season as he took a pass from behind the net by Frolik and beat Howard from the low slot. Ladd created breathing room with 9:03 remaining, when he grabbed a loose puck on the doorstep and backhanded it past Howard.
Little opened the scoring by converting a breakaway chance with one minute left in the first period. Zetterberg's shot from the outer edge of the left faceoff circle caromed in off Jets defenseman Grant Clitsome's skate at 7:09 of the second and DeKeyser scored his first career goal on a one-timer from the blue line less than three minutes later before Frolik converted a cross-slot feed from Scheifele with 2:56 left in the session.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Detroit D Adam Almquist made his NHL debut, registering a minus-2 rating in 15:51 of ice time. ... D Keaton Ellerby appeared in his first game for the Jets since being claimed off waivers from Los Angeles on Saturday. The 24-year-old blocked two shots and was plus-1 in 10:39. ... Little's goal was his team-leading eighth of the season and third in four games.
