Wild 2, Flyers 0

Josh Harding turned aside 21 shots for his 10th career shutout and Jason Pominville snapped a scoreless tie 3:52 in the third period as host Minnesota ended a four-game winless streak (0-3-1).

Charlie Coyle scored his first goal in nine games 57 seconds later while captain Mikko Koivu and defensemen Jared Spurgeon and Marco Scandella notched assists for the Wild.

Ray Emery finished with 19 saves for the Flyers (12-13-2), who fell to 8-3-1 in their last 12 contests and were denied in their bid to move above .500 for the first time this season.

Harding preserved his third shutout of the season by stopping 11 shots in the third period. The 29-year-old received help from the post on Philadelphia captain Claude Giroux's bid with 11 1/2 minutes to play as he improved to 11-1-0 at home.

After both teams failed to generate consistent offense in the first two periods, Minnesota ended the drought early in the third. Koivu skated behind the net and unleashed a backhander that caromed off Emery and out in front to Pominville, who wired it home for his 14th goal. The Wild doubled the advantage in short order as Coyle tapped home the easy rebound of Spurgeon's blast from above the left faceoff circle, which was denied by the left pad of Emery.
