Sabres 4, Jets 2
Matt Moulson snapped a tie 2:31 into the third period as host Buffalo rallied for its first regulation victory since Nov. 15.
Captain Steve Ott, Marcus Foligno and Matt Ellis also scored for the Sabres, who won for the first time in 21 games when trailing after two periods. Ryan Miller made 25 saves.
Mark Scheifele scored twice for the Jets, who have one win in their last five contests. Ondrej Pavelec stopped 27 shots, including 19 in the first period.
Scheifele scored both of his goals early in the second, stickhandling into the slot and firing a wrist shot off a turnover 1:02 into the period and snapping a shot top corner from the right faceoff dot off another turnover 36 seconds later to give Winnipeg a 2-0 lead. That score stood until Ott one-timed a rebound past Pavelec with 9:44 remaining in the period.
Foligno tied the game for Buffalo 50 seconds into the third period, tapping in a centering feed from Cody Hodgson on a rush. Moulson tipped a point shot by defenseman Christian Ehrhoff around Pavelec on a power play 1:41 later to put the Sabres ahead and Ellis scored his first of the season to add some insurance with 6:22 remaining.
