Flyers 4, Wild 1
Wayne Simmonds scored twice and set up a goal while captain Claude Giroux recorded a tally and an assist as Philadelphia extended its home winning streak to nine games.
Defenseman Luke Schenn also scored for the Flyers, who haven't lost at home since being shut out by New Jersey on Nov. 7. Jakub Voracek notched a pair of assists and Steve Mason turned aside 26 shots.
Mikael Granlund netted the lone goal for Minnesota, which fell to 0-3-0 on its four-game road trip. Niklas Backstrom finished with 27 saves for the Wild.
Philadelphia took an early lead as Schenn pinched in from the right point to grab a loose puck in the faceoff circle and fired it past Backstrom 1:52 into the contest. Simmonds - who also had an empty-netter - doubled the advantage midway through the opening period, completing a tic-tac-toe passing play at the left post during a power play for his ninth goal.
The Wild halved the deficit with a man-advantage tally of their own, as Granlund converted a cross-slot feed from Jason Pominville during a 5-on-3 with 3:17 remaining in the first. But Giroux tipped defenseman Braydon Coburn's shot from above the right circle past Backstrom at 7:46 of the second to restore the Flyers' two-goal lead.
