Predators 6, Red Wings 4

Colin Wilson scored two goals and set up another while Mike Fisher added a tally and two assists as host Nashville completed a sweep of the two-game season series between the former Central Division rivals.

Craig Smith recorded a goal and an assist, Nick Spaling also scored and defenseman Roman Josi added a power-play empty-net tally for the Predators, who have won two straight following a five-game winless streak. Blue-liner Seth Jones notched two assists and fellow rookie Marek Mazanec turned aside 21 shots.

Justin Abdelkader, Pavel Datsyuk, defenseman Kyle Quincey and Patrick Eaves tallied for the Red Wings, who had their nine-game road point streak snapped. Defenseman Niklas Kronwall and captain Henrik Zetterberg each recorded a pair of assists while Jimmy Howard made 23 saves in his return from a knee injury.

Nashville took the lead just 1:54 into the first period as Wilson beat Howard to the glove side from the top of the slot on the first shot of the game. Abdelkader tied it with a backhander 66 seconds later, but Smith put the Predators back in front midway through the session with a shot from the left faceoff circle.

Spaling made it 3-1 less than 4 1/2 minutes into the second and Datsyuk beat Mazanec with a one-timer 35 seconds into the third before Fisher restored Nashville's two-goal advantage by scoring from the doorstep at 5:50. Quincey and Eaves sandwiched goals around Wilson's second of the night later in the period, but Josi sealed the win with an empty-netter in the final minute.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Red Wings RW Daniel Alfredsson was scratched due to an upper-body injury, but C Darren Helm returned to the lineup after missing 10 games with a shoulder ailment. ... Kronwall's first assist was the 215th of his career, moving him past Shawn Burr for 23rd place on the franchise list. He trails Marcel Pronovost (217) by one for the 22nd spot. ... Wilson's two-goal performance was his second of the season. He also tallied twice against Colorado on Nov. 6.
