Ducks 4, Sabres 1

Corey Perry continued his hot start by registering his seventh career hat trick - and second this season - while Frederik Andersen posted his 10th straight victory as host Anaheim extended its winning streak to six games.

Ryan Kesler also scored and captain Ryan Getzlaf notched two assists for the Ducks, who improved to 3-0-0 on their five-game homestand. Andersen made 22 saves en route to his 26th win in 31 career decisions.

Tyler Ennis netted the lone goal for the Sabres, who avoided what would have been a franchise-record third straight shutout by ending their drought at 196 minutes, 59 seconds. Michal Neuvirth turned aside 30 shots as Buffalo remained one of three teams without a power-play tally this season after going 0-for-2.

Anaheim grabbed the lead 8:50 into the contest on Perry's sixth goal in seven games. The former Hart Trophy winner received a touch pass from Getzlaf while streaking down the right wing and fired the puck inside the left post from the faceoff circle.

Kesler doubled the advantage at 9:20 of the middle session with a shot from the top of the slot that deflected off Buffalo defenseman Mike Weber and past Neuvirth. Ennis spoiled Andersen's bid for a second straight shutout with 5:06 left in the third by burying a loose puck on the doorstep after Matt Moulson intercepted an errant pass, but Perry sealed the win with a one-timer from just inside the blue line with 2:43 remaining and capped his big night with an empty-net goal.
