Ducks 4, Blue Jackets 1

Corey Perry, defenseman Sami Vatanen and captain Ryan Getzlaf each recorded a goal and an assist as host Anaheim extended its winning streak to seven games.

Devante Smith-Pelly also scored for the Ducks, who improved to 4-0-0 on their five-game homestand. John Gibson turned aside 16 shots en route to his first victory in just his second start of the season.

Scott Hartnell netted the lone goal for the Blue Jackets, who fell to 1-2-0 on their four-game road trip. Sergei Bobrovsky finished with 30 saves for Columbus, which was outshot 14-5 in the third period.

Perry wasted little time picking up where he left off, beating Bobrovsky with a backhander while on the power play 88 seconds into the contest for his league-leading ninth goal after registering his second hat trick of the young season in Thursday's triumph over Buffalo. Vatanen doubled the lead at 8:37 of the opening period with a slap shot during a man advantage.

The Blue Jackets halved the deficit with a power-play goal of their own as Hartnell netted his first tally of the season with six minutes remaining. Smith-Pelly restored Anaheim's two-goal advantage with 6:54 left in the middle period, when he redirected Perry's pass between Bobrovsky's pads from the doorstep.
