Blue Jackets 3, Flyers 2 (OT)
Defenseman Kevin Connauton scored at 1:58 of overtime as host Columbus won its fourth game in a row.
Connauton finished off a 2-on-1 rush with Ryan Johansen for his first goal of the season and second career while Boone Jenner and Scott Hartnell added power-play tallies for the Blue Jackets, who sent Philadelphia to its 11th loss in 13 games (2-8-3). Sergei Bobrovsky, like Hartnell a former Flyer, made 19 saves to win his fourth consecutive start.
Brayden Schenn scored both goals for Philadelphia, the second coming at 19:04 of the third period to force overtime. Steve Mason turned aside 21 shots as the Flyers wrapped up a 1-2-2 road trip and lost for the 10th time in their last 11 away from home.
Jenner ran his goal-scoring streak to four games 12 1/2 minutes into the contest, sweeping home a shot from the right side of the net after his attempted crossing pass was blocked in front and came right back to him. Philadelphia tied it 5:19 later, when captain Claude Giroux skated down the right side and slid a pass to Schenn in the slot for the conversion.
Hartnell put Columbus back in front midway through the second, corralling a loose puck in front off a scramble and beating Mason with a backhander with his back to the net. The goal stood up until Schenn deflected a shot that trickled past Bobrovsky - a tally that initially was waved off before reversed upon video review.
