Ducks 2, Canadiens 1

Matt Beleskey snapped a tie with 11:27 remaining in the third period as visiting Anaheim shaded Montreal.

Defenseman Hampus Lindholm added a first-period goal for the Ducks, who won for the eighth time in nine games while improving to 4-1-0 on their five-game road trip. Frederik Andersen made 23 saves to preserve the win.

David Desharnais netted a power-play tally for the Canadiens, who had their three-game winning streak snapped. Carey Price stopped 21 shots in defeat.

Captain Ryan Getzlaf won a faceoff in the offensive zone and controlled the puck in the corner before feeding Lindholm, whose blast from the right point beat Price over his right shoulder.

Montreal drew even 5:27 into the third period as Desharnais ripped defenseman Andrei Markov's cross-ice feed past Andersen for his fourth point in three games.
