Clarke MacArthur recorded a goal and an assist to help visiting Ottawa snap its three-game winless streak.

Mike Hoffman, David Legwand, defenseman Cody Ceci and Milan Michalek also scored for the Senators, who won on the road in regulation for just the second time since the end of October. Craig Anderson turned aside 31 shots, including all 12 he faced in the third period.

Mikkel Boedker netted the lone tally for Arizona, which fell to 9-10-3 at home. Mike Smith made 28 saves in his fourth straight start.

Boedker opened the scoring 4:31 into the contest by cutting into the slot on a rush and firing a wrist shot past Anderson. Michalek scored on a power play 2:37 later and MacArthur gave the Senators the lead with 6:51 remaining in the first period by knocking in a loose puck on the doorstep.

Hoffman extended Ottawa’s advantage midway through the second period on a give-and-go with Mika Zibanejad. Ceci added insurance with a one-timer from the left faceoff circle during a power play 1:26 into the third and Legwand capped the scoring with 6.9 seconds remaining.
