Oilers 3, Sabres 2
Anton Lander and Matt Fraser each recorded a goal and two assists as host Edmonton extended Buffalo's franchise-worst losing streak to 13 games.
Defenseman Oscar Klefbom also scored for the Oilers, who have won three of four following a three-game losing streak. Ben Scrivens stopped 18 shots en route to his first win in four starts.
Blue-liners Tyler Myers and Rasmus Ristolainen tallied for the Sabres, who haven't earned a point since posting a shootout win over the New York Islanders on Dec. 27. Jhonas Enroth made 31 saves in defeat.
Myers opened the scoring 2:22 into the contest, gathering Torrey Mitchell's pass and firing a shot past Scrivens from the top of the left faceoff circle. Fraser evened things just over 10 minutes later as he one-timed Lander's feed after Luke Gazdic forced a turnover deep in Buffalo territory.
Klefbom put Edmonton ahead for good with 4:58 left in the first with a one-timer from the point for his first goal of the season. Lander made it 3-1 less than eight minutes into the third period with a tap-in during a 2-and-none rush, and Edmonton overcame Ristolainen's conversion of a rebound with 2:02 left to complete a sweep of the season series.
