Blue Jackets 4, Flyers 3

Blue Jackets 4, Flyers 3 (OT): Artem Anisimov scored 2:17 into overtime as host Columbus roared back from a two-goal deficit in the third period to stun Philadelphia.

A defensive breakdown in Flyers' territory resulted in Anisimov being left alone in front, and he converted a rebound of defenseman James Wisniewski's shot to send the Blue Jackets to their third win in four games. Brandon Dubinsky collected a goal and an assist and Jared Boll and Cam Atkinson also tallied while Curtis McElhinney turned aside 22 shots to preserve the win.

Wayne Simmonds scored twice and assisted on Sean Couturier's second-period goal for the Flyers, who have points in eight straight games (5-0-3) for the first time since 2011. Ray Emery made 29 saves in defeat.

Simmonds put Philadelphia on the board just past the midway point of the opening period, blazing down the wing before switching from forehand to backhand and snapping a shot past McElhinney. Dubinsky drew the Blue Jackets even 8:09 into the second, redirecting defenseman Kevin Connauton's shot past Emery for his first goal in nine games.

Couturier responded with 2:13 remaining in the period, batting the puck out of mid-air and past McElhinney on a play that was upheld by a video review. Simmonds converted a rebound with the man advantage at 5:04 of the third to make it a two-goal edge, but Boll's redirection of Corey Tropp's pass 3 1/2 minutes later trimmed the gap and Atkinson evened things at 15:20 after blazing to the front of the net and sliding a rebound past Emery.
