Milan Michalek scored twice and added an assist to help host Ottawa rout Edmonton.

Alex Chiasson, Kyle Turris and rookie Mike Hoffman each added a goal and an assist while defenseman Cody Ceci and David Legwand also scored for the Senators, who have earned points in each of their last three games. Robin Lehner made 25 saves in his eighth straight start.

Defenseman Mark Fayne and Derek Roy tallied for the Oilers, who fell to 2-3-0 on their six-game road trip. Viktor Fasth allowed three goals on 15 shots before being replaced by Richard Bachman, who stopped 23 shots.

Michalek opened the scoring by backhanding a rebound past Fasth during a power play 7:18 into the contest, but Roy replied for Edmonton with 4:43 remaining in the first period by lifting a wrist shot over Lehner’s glove. Fasth’s day ended after Ceci and Turris scored 16 seconds apart in the opening minute of the second session.

Fayne pulled the Oilers within one with a blast from the point at 3:06, but Michalek one-timed a feed from Turris past Bachman 38 seconds later to restore Ottawa’s two-goal advantage. Chiasson increased the lead with 1:16 remaining in the period while Hoffman and Legwand scored in the third to seal the victory.
