Devils 3, Coyotes 0

Cory Schneider posted his 15th career shutout and Mike Cammalleri recorded his fourth two-goal performance of the campaign - and second in three games - as New Jersey remained perfect on its longest homestand of the season.

Scott Gomez ended a lengthy goal-scoring drought for the Devils, who improved to 4-0-0 on their six-game stretch at Prudential Center. Schneider made 14 saves in each of the first two periods and finished with 38 in his league-high 51st start for his third blanking of 2014-15.

Mike Smith turned aside 25 shots for the Coyotes, who have scored eight times during their six-game losing streak. Arizona, which was shut out for the eighth time this season, had not suffered six straight regulation losses since Jan. 27-Feb. 7, 2009.

Gomez opened the scoring with 7:27 remaining in the first period with his first goal in 16 games. The veteran forced a turnover in the neutral zone and carried the puck down the right wing before putting a backhander between Smith's pads.

After a scoreless second session, New Jersey doubled the lead 1:41 into the third. Cammalleri chased down a loose puck and skated in on a partial breakaway, lifting a backhander that caromed off Smith's left arm and in before sealing the win by firing the puck into an empty net for his team-leading 22nd goal.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Gomez's goal gave him 473 points as a member of the Devils, moving him past Bobby Holik for sole possession of fifth place on the team's all-time list.
