Flyers 4, Penguins 1
Brayden Schenn collected a power-play goal and two assists and Steve Mason finished with 46 saves as host Philadelphia completed a season sweep of Pittsburgh for the first time since 1983-84.
Jakub Voracek scored a goal with the man advantage and set up another for the Flyers, who have won eight in a row against their Keystone State rival - including four straight this season. Defenseman Michael Del Zotto added a power-play goal, Ryan White also tallied and defenseman Mark Streit had two assists in the victory.
Brandon Sutter scored on the power play for his second goal in as many contests for the Penguins, who have dropped nine of their last 12 (3-8-1) and are even in points with Detroit for the wild-card spots in the Eastern Conference. Defenseman Ian Cole notched his fifth assist during his career-high four-game point streak and Thomas Greiss turned aside 16 shots in defeat.
After scoring twice in Philadelphia's 4-1 victory over Pittsburgh on Wednesday, Schenn chipped the puck in the slot and it fluttered in the air before dropping just inside the right post to give the Flyers a 2-1 lead with 7:40 remaining in the second. Evgeni Malkin hit the post with 7 1/2 minutes to play and White shoveled home Sean Couturier's centering feed at 15:05 to send Philadelphia on its way.
Pittsburgh found itself locked in a 1-1 draw despite enjoying a 22-4 edge in shots after the first period. Sutter accepted a feed from David Perron at the left doorstep before sweeping the puck under Mason's stick and inside the right post at 16:21, but Voracek tied the contest three minutes later with a one-timer from the top of the right circle.
