Anisimov scores OT winner as Blackhawks edge Devils

NEWARK, N.J. -- Artem Anisimov scored 1:15 into overtime to give the Chicago Blackhawks a 3-2 victory against the New Jersey Devils at Prudential Center on Friday night.

Anisimov buried the rebound after a shot by left winger Artemi Panarin was denied by goaltender Keith Kinkaid.

Blackhawks right winger Marian Hossa scored a power-play goal with 2:11 remaining and goaltender Corey Crawford on the bench for an extra attacker to even the score at 2 and help force overtime. The Devils were shorthanded after center Vernon Fiddler was assessed a double-minor for high sticking with 5:42 remaining.

Kinkaid, making his first start this season, stopped 26 shots to earn the win.

Right winger P.A. Parenteau and defenseman John Moore scored for the Devils.

Crawford was stellar in net with his team on its heels all night, stopping 30 shots.

Panarin also scored for the Blackhawks.

Parenteau's power-play goal at 15:32 of the first period gave the Devils a 1-0 lead. Crawford stopped an initial blast from the point but the rebound for the stick of Parenteau, who buried his third goal of the season.

The Blackhawks have allowed a league-high 15 power-play goals and at least one in every game this season.

Panarin responded with a power-play goal at 6:48 of the second period. Center Artem Anisimov provided a screen in front of Kinkaid and Panarin wristed a shot to the top corner of the net for his third goal of the season.

Through two periods, the game was tied at 1 but the Devils held a 28-12 shots advantage.

Moore's winner, his first goal of the season, was set up by left winger Taylor Hall. The Devils had a 3-on-2 with Hall carrying the puck along the right side. He slid the puck toward the net for right winger Kyle Palmieri but the pass was deflected. The puck fell to Moore, who stashed home the loose puck to make it 2-1 at 4:06.
