Magic 103, Wizards 85

Dwight Howard erupted for 28 points and 20 rebounds as the host Orlando Magic cruised past the winless Washington Wizards 103-85 Wednesday night.

Howard manhandled the Wizards all game long, hitting 11 of 14 field-goal attempts while posting his second 20-point, 20-rebound performance of the season.

Already up by 18 going into the second half, Orlando hit six straight shots early in the third quarter to stretch the lead to 27. The Wizards didn't challenge the rest of the way as they fell to 0-6 for the first time in franchise history.

Ryan Anderson added 23 points and 15 rebounds in the one-sided victory.

Nick Young poured in a team-high 17 points for Washington, which has just six wins in 40 trips to Orlando over the past two decades.

Howard was unstoppable from the opening tip, scoring 10 points - six on three consecutive dunks - while adding six rebounds and two blocks during a dominant first quarter.

Orlando rode his performance to a 31-14 lead after the opening 12 minutes, and that advantage grew to as many as 21 points on a Howard dunk just past the midway point of the second quarter. He finished with 17 points and 10 rebounds in the half as the Magic built a 56-38 edge at the break.
