Mariners at Rangers

The Texas Rangers are racking up runs in their wins over Seattle this season and look to pile up more when they host the Mariners on Tuesday. Texas held on for a 10-9 victory on Monday in the opener of the three-game series and has scored 39 runs in its three triumphs over Seattle this year.

The Rangers matched a season high with five homers and also recorded five doubles on Monday to win for the fifth time in six games. Asdrubal Cabrera belted two solo shots, Joey Gallo added one, Rougned Odor launched a three-run blast and Hunter Pence slugged a two-run homer. Seattle scored seven runs over its final two at-bats to reduce the deficit but ultimately lost for the 16th time in 21 games. Tim Beckham Jr. hit the first grand slam of his career while going 3-for-4 with a career-best five RBIs.
