Bucks 96, Magic 85

Andrew Bogut took advantage of Dwight Howard’s absence to record 31 points and 18 rebounds and lead the host Milwaukee Bucks to a 96-85 victory over the illness-ravaged Orlando Magic on Saturday.

Bogut hit 13-of-20 shots while setting a season-high for points as the Bucks (7-12) ended Orlando’s six-game winning streak.

The Magic (15-5) played without Howard, Jameer Nelson, Mickael Pietrus and J.J. Redick, all sidelined with a stomach virus.

Brandon Jennings had 27 points, seven rebounds and six assists for the Bucks, who had a 54-38 rebounding edge.

Vince Carter had 20 points, seven rebounds and six assists and Quentin Richardson scored 16 points for Orlando.

Milwaukee’s John Salmons scored 16 points.

Bogut had missed Milwaukee’s previous five games with back troubles. He had eight offensive rebounds while matching a season-best rebounding output.

Howard, Nelson and Pietrus missed their second consecutive contest due to the illness. Redick sat out for the third straight game.

Orlando had just eight available players.
