Grizzlies 116, Warriors 111
Rudy Gay finished with 25 points and O.J. Mayo added 23 off the bench as the Memphis Grizzlies held off the Golden State Warriors, 116-111, on Friday.
Zach Randolph chipped in with 14 points and six rebounds and Mike Conley collected 14 points and five assists for Memphis, which has won three straight.
The Grizzlies shot 61.4 percent (27-of-44) in the first half to take a 63-53 lead into the break. Gay led the way with 14 points while Mayo added 11 on 5-of-6 shooting. Golden State trailed, 30-24 after the first quarter but battled back to take a 37-35 lead before Memphis skipped away again, closing the half on an 11-3 run
The lead grew to 100-89 with five minutes left before the Warriors started to make a run, closing to within 112-111 after Stephen Curry hit a pair of free throws with 11.6 seconds remaining. But Mayo and Gay each hit a pair of free throws in the final seconds to seal it.
Andris Biedrins had 28 points and 21 rebounds and Monta Ellis added 23 points and eight assists for Golden State, which has lost five in a row.
