Trail Blazers 107, Timberwolves 102

LaMarcus Aldridge had 36 points and 10 rebounds and Rudy Fernandez recorded a career-high 26 as the Portland Trail Blazers earned a 107-102 victory over the visiting Minnesota Timberwolves on Friday night at the Rose Garden.

The Trail Blazers (13-14) played without guard Brandon Roy, who is expected to miss two more games with a knee injury.

The Blazers won their 13th in a row over the Timberwolves, who are a miserable 1-15 on the road this season and have lost 27 of their last 28 road games dating to last campaign.

Michael Beasley led Minnesota (6-21) with 33 points and Kevin Love recorded his 13th consecutive double-double with 19 points and 17 rebounds. Reserve Martell Webster, who just returned this week after back surgery in October, had 19 points and nine rebounds.

Beasley pulled the Timberwolves within three at 105-102 with a 3-pointer with 13.9 seconds remaining. But Wesley Matthews (21 points) made two free throws one second later as the Blazers snapped a three-game losing streak.

In scoring his career high, Fernandez was 9-of-15 shooting and made four 3-pointers. He also had six assists.

Aldridge shot 15 of 22 and also blocked five shots.

Minnesota was just 3-for-17 from 3-point range.
