76ers 86, Heat 82

Louis Williams hit a go-ahead 3-pointer with eight seconds left as the Philadelphia 76ers avoided elimination with an 86-82 victory over the visiting Miami Heat in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference playoffs on Sunday.

Williams and Evan Turner had 17 points apiece while Elton Brand collected 15 points and 11 rebounds for the 76ers, who will head back to Miami for Game 5 on Wednesday.

The Heat held an 82-76 edge after Dwyane Wade tipped in LeBron James’ miss with 1:35 left. But Philadelphia, which squandered an 18-point first-half lead, did not let up. Turner made a runner in the lane with 1:22 left to cut it to 82-78.

After Mario Chalmers missed a 3-pointer on the other end, Jrue Holiday came right back and buried a 25-foot shot from beyond the arc to cut it to 82-81. Miami drained some time on the other end but could not get a basket, giving the 76ers a chance to take the lead.

Williams took advantage, knocking down another 3-pointer with eight seconds left to put Philadelphia on top. Turner sealed it with a pair of free throws.

James finished with 31 points to lead Miami.
