: Paul Millsap went for 24 points and nine rebounds and Alec Burks came off the bench to hit some big shots in the fourth quarter as Utah moved a game over .500 and snapped Los Angeles’ five-game winning streak.

Burks scored 13 of his 17 points in the fourth quarter and Enes Kanter added 17 points and eight rebounds off the bench for the Jazz, who improved the second-worst road record in the Western Conference to 6-16.

The win moved Utah (23-22) within one-half game of the Houston Rockets (24-22) for the No. 8 spot in the West.

It was tied, 78-78, with 9:30 left in the fourth quarter when the Jazz began to surge. Burks scored seven points during an 11-1 run over the next 2:40 that put Utah in control.

Burks had an answer for three straight Lakers baskets to keep the Jazz up, 97-90 with 2:00 to play.

Los Angeles made one last push, drawing to within 102-99, when Kobe Bryant converted a three-point play with 33 seconds left. But Bryant missed a tying 3-point attempt with 1.9 seconds on the clock and Millsap split a pair of free throws to finish it off.

Bryant finished with 15 points on 3-of-20 shooting. Andrew Bynum led the Lakers with 33 points and 11 rebounds.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Los Angeles committed 24 turnovers, with stars Bryant (seven), Bynum (five) and Pau Gasol (five) accounting for most of the sloppy play. … The Lakers dropped two games behind San Antonio for the No. 2 spot in the West. … Utah was without starting C Al Jefferson due to a family funeral.
