Thunder 99, Jazz 94
Kevin Durant led the way with 32 points, six assists and five rebounds as Oklahoma City outlasted visiting Utah.
Russell Westbrook added 25 points and 12 assists and Dion Waiters scored 15 points off the bench in his first home game for the Thunder. Durant and Westbrook were a combined 19-of-76 in back-to-back losses but were 23-of-38 as Oklahoma City snapped the slide.
Gordon Hayward scored 27 points and Derrick Favors had 22 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Jazz. Trey Burke contributed 20 points and five assists but Utah went the final 4:40 without a field goal.
The Jazz held a 90-84 lead after Hayward’s basket with 4:41 left before Durant scored six points in an 8-0 run to put the Thunder on top. Burke made a pair of free throws to cut the deficit to 94-93 with 1:23 to play but Waiters knocked down a 3-pointer and Westbrook closed it out with a dunk.
Utah bridged the first and second quarters with a 14-2 run capped by back-to-back 3-pointers from Elijah Millsap to grab a 35-27 lead and went into the break up 50-44. Durant’s 3-pointer knotted it at 72 with 2:40 left in the third but the Jazz recovered and took a 76-74 advantage into the fourth.
