Canucks at Jets

The surprising Winnipeg Jets attempt to regain first place in the Central Division and continue their dominance at home when they host the Vancouver Canucks on Sunday. Winnipeg is one point behind red-hot Nashville in the Central thanks to a 16-3-1 record at Bell MTS Place, where it has won five in a row and 12 of its last 13.

The Jets returned from their bye week Saturday to complete a 2-2-0 road trip with a 2-1 shootout victory at Calgary. Bryan Little set up Mathieu Perreault's game-tying goal midway through the third period before netting the decisive tally in the bonus format, but Winnipeg has recorded just one goal in three straight contests since posting a 7-4 win at Buffalo on Jan. 9. Vancouver looks to break even on its seven-game road trip after falling to 2-3-1 with Saturday's 5-2 loss at Edmonton. Rookie Brock Boeser, who leads the Canucks with 41 points, ended his season-high three-game drought by notching an assist against the Oilers but has scored just one goal in his last eight contests.

ABOUT THE CANUCKS (18-22-6): Bo Horvat has not played since suffering a fractured ankle against Carolina on Dec. 5 but may return to the lineup on Sunday. The 22-year-old center is one of four players on the team with a double-digit goal total, with half of his 10 tallies coming on the power play. Daniel Sedin scored a goal in Saturday's loss, giving him three tallies and three assists during his five-game point streak, while defenseman Alex Edler has notched a goal and five assists on his five-game run.

ABOUT THE JETS (27-13-7): Defenseman Tobias Enstrom appeared in his 700th NHL game on Saturday, joining Little (719) and Chris Thorburn (709) as the only players to reach the plateau with the franchise. The 33-year-old Enstrom has recorded three assists while being limited to 24 games this season due to a lower-body injury. Blake Wheeler, who leads the team with 53 points, is mired in a five-game goal-scoring drought and has been kept off the scoresheet in two of his last three contests following a seven-game point streak.

1. Jets RW Patrik Laine has recorded 11 of his team-leading 20 goals on the power play and trails Tampa Bay's Steven Stamkos by one for the league lead in man-advantage tallies.

2. After scoring in the season opener, Vancouver C Brandon Sutter endured a 20-game drought before tallying in three of his last four contests.
