Ducks at Jets
Teemu Selanne returns to his first NHL home for possibly the last time on Sunday as his Anaheim Ducks visit the Winnipeg Jets. The future Hall of Famer spent the initial three-plus seasons of his career in Manitoba, a stint highlighted by a career-high 76 goals during his Calder Trophy-winning 1992-93 campaign. Selanne, 43, announced he is retiring at the end of this season.
While Anaheim has split its first two contests, Winnipeg attempts to record its third victory in as many contests against Pacific Division representatives. New acquisitions are leading the way for the Jets, who received a two-goal performance from Michael Frolik in a 5-4 season-opening victory over Edmonton while Devin Setoguchi tallied twice in a 5-3 triumph against Los Angeles on Friday. Frolik was traded from Chicago for a pair of draft picks in the offseason, while Setoguchi was shuffled from Minnesota for a second-round selection in the 2014 draft.

ABOUT THE DUCKS (1-1-0): While Selanne has been a mainstay with Anaheim, Mathieu Perreault has been with the team for all of one week - but he certainly introduced himself on Saturday. Acquired from Washington last Sunday, Perreault converted a 2-on-1 rush with defenseman Francois Beauchemin 4:55 into overtime to give the Ducks a 4-3 win over Minnesota on Saturday. "He sure is dynamic, and that's why we had him out there in overtime," coach Bruce Boudreau said of his former Capitals charge.
ABOUT THE JETS (2-0-0): Kane has enjoyed quite the week as his one-goal, two-assist performance versus Los Angeles came approximately 24 hours after he became engaged to girlfriend Ashley Chamberland. Olli Jokinen ended a 10-game goalless drought dating back to last season as his 300th career tally snapped a tie in the second period. The ninth overall pick of the 2012 draft, defenseman Jacob Trouba has made a fine showing this season - registering a goal and an assist to go along with his plus-3 rating.
