Stars at Panthers
The Dallas Stars attempt to strengthen their hold on a postseason berth as they conclude their five-game road trip against the Florida Panthers on Sunday. Dallas improved to 3-1-0 on its trek with a 5-2 victory at Tampa Bay on Saturday. Captain Jamie Benn scored two goals and set up another as the Stars moved one point ahead of Phoenix for the second wild-card spot in the Western Conference with a game in hand.
Florida looks to halt a five-game losing streak during which it has scored more than two goals just once. The Panthers, who have won only one of their last nine contests, dropped a 2-1 decision to Calgary on Friday in the opener of their season-ending five-game homestand. Florida scored three goals - including two by Marcel Goc - in the final 9:28 of the third period to post a 4-2 triumph at Dallas on Oct. 3.

ABOUT THE STARS (38-28-11): Benn ended his six-game goal-scoring drought with a pair of tallies Saturday. The 24-year-old's two-goal effort was his fourth fo the season. Tyler Seguin notched a goal and an assist against the Lightning, giving him at least one point in 14 of his last 15 games.
ABOUT THE PANTHERS (27-43-8): Roberto Luongo returned to action Friday after missing three contests with a concussion and celebrated his 35th birthday by playing in his 800th NHL game. Jonathan Huberdeau may return to the lineup after missing 10 games with a concussion. Florida has missed the playoffs 12 of the last 13 seasons.

1. With Luongo back, Florida assigned Scott Clemmensen to San Antonio of the American Hockey League.
2. Dallas LW Erik Cole returned to the lineup Saturday after missing seven games with an upper-body injury.
