All-Star Loui Eriksson scored a power-play goal with just under four minutes remaining in the third period as the Dallas Stars skated to a 3-2 home triumph over the Nashville Predators on Saturday afternoon.

Defenseman Alex Goligoski collected a goal and an assist and Tom Wandell also tallied as Dallas (33-23-6) recorded its second win since dropping five straight. The victory also lifted the Stars past the Predators (31-23-8) in the ultra-competitive Western Conference standings.

Captain Brenden Morrow notched a pair of assists and Kari Lehtonen turned aside 25 shots to improve to 4-1-0 in his career against the Predators. The Finn upped his season mark to 25-18-6 as well.

With Nashville captain Shea Weber in the penalty box for boarding, Eriksson redirected Goligoski's shot past Pekka Rinne with 3:42 remaining in the contest for his 21st goal of the season.

Colin Wilson collected a goal and an assist, defenseman Ryan Suter also tallied and David Legwand notched a pair of assists for Nashville, which has mustered just eight goals in its last six contests (1-4-1).

Rinne fell for the fifth time in six outings after stopping 22 shots in this one.
