Thrashers 5, Flyers 4 (OT)

Andrew Ladd tied it on the power play with 45 seconds left in regulation and Ron Hainsey snuck in the game winner as the Atlanta Thrashers came from three goals down to defeat the Philadelphia Flyers, 5-4, on Saturday.

Evander Kane, Zach Bogosian and Tobias Enstrom added tallies for the Thrashers, who pulled within four points of the New York Rangers for the No. 8 spot in the Eastern Conference.

Kane, working the left side of a 3-on-1 break, hit Hainsey streaking up the middle. Hainsey accepted the pass in the slot and tipped it past Sergei Bobrovsky at the 1:17 mark of overtime to give Atlanta the win.

The Thrashers’ late rally overshadowed the first career hat trick from Philadelphia left wing Ville Leino, who had put the Flyers up 4-2 with a power-play slap shot from just inside the blue line at the 13:32 mark of the third period.
