Wild 2, Blues 1

Josh Harding made 30 saves in his fourth straight win and Guillaume Latendresse scored the deciding goal as the Minnesota Wild edged the visiting St. Louis Blues 2-1 on Saturday.

Dany Heatley added his fourth goal and Mikko Koivu recorded his seventh assist for the Wild, who have won four straight.

Harding has started all four games during the winning streak and allowed a total of three goals as first-year coach Mike Yeo rides the hot hand. Harding, who sat out all of last season with a knee injury, had made just one start prior to his current run.

Latendresse scored unassisted with 1:18 left in the second, creating a turnover in the St. Louis zone and backhanding the puck into the top of the net over Jaroslav Halak’s shoulder.

Heatley’s tally came on a 4-on-4 chance earlier in the second, taking a feed from Koivu and snapping it under the arm of Halak.

Harding came within 2:02 of his second shutout, but Jamie Langenbrunner spoiled it with his first tally.
