LIGHTNING 5, FLYERS 3: Martin St. Louis scored the go-ahead goal 2:27 into the third period and Dwayne Roloson made 35 saves as visiting Tampa Bay defeated Philadelphia for the third time in four tries this season.
Steven Stamkos scored his league-leading 53rd goal for the Lightning, breaking the single-season franchise record of Vincent Lecavalier (52 in 2006-07).
St. Louis took a feed from Tim Wallace and scored on a breakaway to make it 3-2 and JT Wyman capitalized with 2:49 left after Flyers defenseman Matt Carle mishandled the puck around his net for a two-goal lead.
Roloson won his third straight as the Flyers outshot the Lightning 38-15.
Scott Hartnell made it 4-3 with 1:13 remaining, but Tom Pyatt sealed with an empty-netter in the final seconds, moments after Roloson robbed Jaromir Jagr on the doorstep.
Ryan Malone scored Tampa Bay’s second shorthanded goal of season at 8:08 of the first. Stamkos hammered a wrist shot past Flyers goaltender Ilya Bryzgalov from the left point on the power play with 1.4 seconds left in the first period.
The Flyers outshot the Lightning 16-2 in the second period and tied it 2-2. Wayne Simmonds swept in Braydon Schenn's pass at 3:21 and Matt Read did the same after Kimmo Timonen’s cross-ice feed at 18:18.
