Rangers 3, Canucks 2 (OT)

NEW YORK -- Left winger J.T. Miller scored with 1:06 remaining in overtime to give the New York Rangers a come-from-behind, 3-2 win over the Vancouver Canucks at Madison Square Garden on Tuesday night.

Miller collected his own rebound, swooped behind the net and beat Canucks goaltender Ryan Miller on a wraparound for the winner.

Center Derek Stepan and right winger Mats Zucarello also scored for the Rangers in support of goaltender Henrik Lundqvist, who allowed two goals on 20 shots.

Ryan Miller was phenomenal through the game, stopping 46 of 49 shots.

Left wingers Alex Burrows and Sven Baertschi scored for the Canucks.

Former Rangers right winger Emerson Etem had the primary assist on Burrows' second-period goal, which gave the Canucks a 3-2 lead.

The first period was filled with great scoring chances but Baertschi's goal was the only one during opening 20 minutes.

After a turnover by left winger Rick Nash, the Canucks advanced the puck. Center Bo Horvat carried it behind the net and fed it to the slot for Baertschi, who beat Nash down the ice and Lundqvist to the stick side to make it 1-0 at 9:02.

Ryan Miller stopped all 17 shots he faced in the first period.

The Rangers drew even early in the second period during a delayed penalty against the Canucks. With an extra skater on the ice, Nash was able to hit Stepan on the doorstep for his ninth goal of the season to make it 1-1 at 4:18.

With 3:49 remaining in the period, Etem returned to hurt the team that traded him two weeks ago. He won a puck battle and fed Burrows near the crease for a tap-in goal that put the Canucks back in front 2-1.

Through two periods, the Rangers hit four goal posts.

Zuccarello finally made the relentless assault pay off with 8:43 remaining in the third period, as he redirected a pass from defenseman Keith Yandle that slipped through Ryan Miller to tie the game at 2.
