Magic 93, Bucks 90
MAGIC 93, BUCKS 90: Dwight Howard collected 28 points and 16 rebounds and Ryan Anderson buried a go-ahead 3-pointer with 18 seconds left as Orlando sent host Milwaukee to its fifth loss in six games.
Anderson finished with nine points and 11 rebounds and Jameer Nelson scored 15 for the Magic, who bounced back from a tough loss at Miami on Sunday.
Brandon Jennings hit a short runner to give the Bucks a 90-88 edge with 31 seconds left, leading the Magic to call a timeout.
The play went to J.J. Redick, who missed a layup. But Nelson grabbed the offensive rebound and found Anderson beyond the arc for the lead.
Ersan Ilyasova did not quite match the 29 points and 25 rebounds he put up Sunday, but the Turkish big man stepped up late for Milwaukee. Ilyasova grabbed three rebounds during an 8-0 run that put Milwaukee back on top in the fourth quarter and made it 86-81 with a driving layup at the 3:47 mark.
Orlando had another burst left, grabbing an 87-86 lead on Redick’s 3-pointer with 1:23 left as it went back and forth.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Jennings led Milwaukee with 22 points with Ilyasova (15 points, 15 rebounds) and Larry Sanders (13 and 12) each recorded a double-double … Magic guard Jason Richardson (chest pain) missed his second straight game. … The Bucks finish their first half at Chicago on Wednesday while Orlando continues its road trip with New Jersey and Atlanta before the break.
