Flyers 4, Rangers 2

Jeff Carter and All-Star Claude Giroux recorded a goal and an assist apiece and Brian Boucher made 37 saves to lead the visiting Philadelphia Flyers to a 4-2 victory over the New York Rangers on Sunday afternoon.

Enforcer Dan Carcillo and Kris Versteeg also scored and Scott Hartnell added a pair of assists for the Flyers, who have won all four meetings with the Rangers this season.

Trailing by one goal in the first period, Carter notched his 27th of the season to tie the contest heading into the intermission. Giroux then fired his 20th of the campaign while Philadelphia was on the power play at the 12:52 mark of the second before Carcillo scored less than four minutes later.

Rangers rookie Derek Stepan cut the lead with his 16th of the season in the third period, but Versteeg added his first goal as a Flyer into an empty net to seal the game.

Wojtek Wolski opened the scoring in the first period for New York and Henrik Lundqvist made 20 saves in the loss.
