Ducks 4, Stars 3 (OT)
Lubomir Visnovsky's third goal of the game at 4:56 of overtime propelled the Anaheim Ducks to a come-from-behind 4-3 win over the visiting Dallas Stars on Friday.
With Dallas forward Tom Wandell serving a hooking minor and the seconds ticking down to a possible shootout, Visnovsky completed the hat trick by tipping in a Ryan Getzlaf point shot as the Ducks vaulted into a virtual tie with the Stars in the Pacific standings. Both teams trail Los Angeles and Phoenix by a single point in the race for second place in the division.
It was the first three-goal performance for Visnovsky since Nov. 2, 2005 – and that one also came against the Stars. The veteran defenseman now has 15 goals in 49 career games against Dallas.
Teemu Selanne had the other goal for Anaheim, drawing the Ducks even with 1:03 left in regulation on another tip-in of a Getzlaf shot. The goal was the 21st of the season for Selanne and the 627th of his career.
Jamie Benn, Adam Burish and Loui Eriksson had second-period goals to pace the Stars, who saw their three-game winning streak come to an end.
