Kings 1, Stars 0
Jonathan Quick made 28 saves for his franchise-record third consecutive shutout and Jack Johnson scored with 4:58 remaining in the third period as the Los Angeles Kings extended their winning streak to four games with a 1-0 home triumph over the Dallas Stars on Saturday.
Quick turned aside 10 shots in the first period, 11 in the second and seven in the third en route to his 17th career blanking. The 25-year old became the first goaltender to post three straight shutouts since Steve Mason of Columbus in Dec. 2008.
Quick set another club mark as his scoreless streak has reached 188 minutes, 10 seconds. The previous record of 184:55 was set by Rogie Vachon in 1975.
Dallas' Andrew Raycroft matched Quick save for save until Johnson's one-timer from the right point fluttered past him for the game's only goal.
Raycroft finished with 23 saves for the Stars, who had their five-game winning streak snapped.
